IF YOU WANT THINGS TO CHANGE, YOU HAVE TO CHANGE THEM YOURSELF

They always say time changes things,
but you actually have to change them yourself.

 ONLY 10 MILES

I only pedaled 10 miles in Spin class this week, that’s 8 miles below my average, but I’m ok with that. My goal is to complete the hour long class, even though I get severe knee pain at times. But since I haven’t been to the class in a month and a half, I took it easy and changed my goal to just complete 30 minutes, and that’s why my total was down. Sometimes you just need to modify your goals, and when you do, don’t take it as failure or a setback. Remember, you're in control of your goals.

 SENT AND RECEIVED

I’m definitely goal oriented though. I have yearly and monthly goals; and I review and update them at the end of each month. If you read my post last week, Believe in Yourself and Go For It, you know that one of my goals was to send my completed art journal to a magazine hoping it would be published. Well, I sent it and it got there. Now I just need to wait and see if they like it enough to use it. But here’s a funny story about when I was mailing it. I decorated the box that I mailed the journal in and because the paint was tacky, I sprayed it with a sealer which has a distinctive odor. At the counter, the postal worker asked if anything in the box was food, chemical, blah, blah, blah. My answer was no, no, etc., but she wasn’t satisfied because she still smelled the spray so she said she had to go ask the post master if it was safe to mail. My husband started laughing when she left and said my journal was hazardous material. It was cleared to fly by the Post Master and I got the post card saying it was received in Cali a few days later. Insert happy dance!!!! Fingers crossed.

 THE ART

Note: I am a Design Team member for The Crafter's Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own. #ad #advertising #sponsor

This is the postcard I sent with the journal and they sent back.

I’ve started a new journal and these are a couple of the spreads. The middle one is the same quote as last week's post.

Stay tuned right here to see if I meet my goals. I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and will join me here every Saturday for another blog post and on Facebook and Instagram
