BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND GO FOR IT!

There are people less qualified than you,
doing the things you want to do,
simply because they decided to believe in themselves.
 Period.

 BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

For years I watched videos of artists, like Donna Downey and Roben-Marie Smith, creating artwork; and I thought I’d like love to do that too, before I finally started making some art of my own. Until two years ago, I didn’t even realize there was such a thing as “design teams” for companies who would want you to promote their products with your art. And I never in a million years thought I’d have my own blog, because, after all, what did I have to say and who would take the time to read it? But here I am – BOTH a design team member for a large well-known stencil company, AND a blogger. Do I have an art degree? No. Does my blog reach thousands? No – not yet. I just believed in myself, and decided to go for it.

It seems some people are constantly looking at others thinking “I wish I was like them,” instead of thinking, “I’m really good at that too.” They belittle their talents, their skills, and their passion. But I don't want you to be "some people". I’m here to tell you you don’t have to stand at the edge of the crowd just watching. Make steps to begin that project, enroll in that class, buy those supplies and begin whatever it is that you want to do. If you’re at a loss as to what your skills and talents are, ask friends and relatives. Many people see much more talent in us than we see in ourselves.

 THE ART

Note: I am a Design Team member for The Crafter's Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own. #ad #advertising #sponsor

The art in this post is from the art journal which I began in January and completed in April. Yeah, I finished it in less than 4 months. I’m preparing to send it to an art magazine, with hopes they will publish it. Yes, I believe in myself and my art enough to share it with the world. Which spread is your favorite?

How about you? What special thing are you hiding that you could share? Think about it and the steps you would have to take to put yourself out there. Don’t let everyone else have all the fun! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and will join me here every Friday for another blog post and on Facebook and Instagram.
