 A Crazy Idea

A couple of weeks after I was notified I would be featured in ART Journaling magazine, I had a crazy idea. It occurred to me that, hmmm, wouldn’t it be a cool thing if a person (guess who??) who was featured in a magazine that Barnes and Noble sells went to the store and said something like, “Hey, this is me in this magazine! Would you like for me to come to promote the magazine?” So I said something to my daughter because she's the one I talk to first about things I want to do in my art career. (It sounds so cool to say my “art career”.) She didn’t think that it was a crazy idea, she said it sounded like a great idea. (She always supports her Lady! :-)) And if you’ve read my earlier post, you know I DID go to Barnes and Noble and ran the idea by them AND not only did they like it but they said I could hang some of my artwork in their café. OMG!

 Selfies, Yes Please!

Well, that little meet and greet happened on Saturday, November 3rd and it was so much better than my wildest dreams could have imagined it! Instead of a table at the door, which I was originally the teeniest bit disappointed I couldn’t have, I got to sit at a corner table in the café and it turned into the best time with my friends and family coming throughout the 3 hours to see my paintings, take selfies, and sit and chat. Like a little party!

I hope you enjoy the pics of me and my peeps. (There were a few I didn’t get selfies with :-(, but most are there.) THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support me, and for my hubby who hung the paintings for me!!!! I love you guys!!!

 The ART

Note: I have received some products from The Crafter's Workshop; however, even though I use and love their products, all opinions are solely my own. #ad #advertising #sponsor

Four of my paintings were bought that day and the rest are still for sale. Let me know if you're interested in anything.

You know when I went in to ask them if they wanted me to come in, B&N could have said, “No way, that’s a stupid idea, you’re a nobody, we’re not interested!” and if they had, oh well, it doesn’t hurt to ask. BUT THEY DIDN’T!!!!!!!!!!!! Which is what I preach to you all the time people – take a deep breath and do that crazy thing that just popped into your head! Go on, you CAN do it!!

Also, I’ve been very sporadic with blogging since June. I hope to become more dependable again. Thanks for always supporting me!! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and will join me here every Saturday for another blog post and on Facebook and Instagram.
